SUNSET OLIVE is a project acquired by Samson Investment Company in late 1999 and reconfigured as a mixed use development of 110,000 square feet of upscale condos, 63,000 sq uare feet of high visibility commercial applications, including the world famous entertainment emporium “House of Blues”, and a seven level subterranean parking garage for 680 vehicles. Along Sunset Boulevard, the retail shops, cafes and restaurants were configured architecturally to preserve the views of the Los Angeles Basin, with the residential and retail-commercial elements skillfully designed around the House of Blues. This is a prime example of a Samson Investment Company well planned urban infill development and a creative solution that will contribute to making West Hollywood a better community without compromising its pace or character. The project was sold in 2005.
