F. Michael Brovsky

F. Michael Brovsky is the Executive Director of Samson Investment Company. A corporate executive with over 30 years of experience in domestic and international business, merchant banking, trust management, real estate, insurance and re-insurance, he draws upon his knowledge of sophisticated financial instruments and mechanisms to enable him to access the equity, debt and credit markets in a unique blended matrix that allows maximum flexibility for Samson clients and their projects worldwide.

A graduate of the University of Colorado with degrees in Business Administration and Marketing, Mr. Brovsky co-founded The Serendipity Singers, a sixties folk singing group that enjoyed international success with their recordings and television appearances. He began his corporate career with Directions Unlimited, a New York based entertainment and media company, specializing in artist management, record production, concert production, film production and distribution. He served as chairperson of the Corporate Management and Executive Committees of the Company, and was elected President and Chief Executive Officer in 1978, serving in that capacity until the Company was sold in 1984.

In 1985 Mr. Brovsky joined Dominion Trust Corporation where he directed and administrated personal and corporate trust accounts as Corporate Trust Officer. Elected President in 1986, he helped direct the investment, allocation and leverage positions of over US$300M of trust assets. In 1989 Mr. Brovsky became Chairman of First Dominion Financial, NA, a private merchant banking and investment company, where he remained until the company was acquired in 1999. His responsibilities during his tenure, included project negotiations, project structuring, mergers and acquisitions, in both the private and public markets.

Mr. Brovsky resides in Santa Barbara California with his wife Beverly. They have 2 grown children, and are active members of the community.
