Eric N. Bergstrom and Bergstrom Capital Advisors serves as Samson Investment Group’s primary resource for real estate mezzanine financing, acquisition due diligence, programmatic joint ventures, structuring, and access to the capital markets. During his twelve year career with EYKL (September 1989 through August 2001) Mr. Bergstrom served numerous publicly traded and privately held land owners/developers, homebuilders, commercial property owners/developers, property managers and financial institutions.
As a Senior Manager in E&Y Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate’s (“EYKL”) Real Estate Advisory Services Unit, Mr. Bergstrom was responsible for obtaining, managing and executing client engagements within the Transaction Advisory/Capital Markets Group. These engagements included developing business strategies, performing capital market alternatives analyses, obtaining entity/project level debt and equity capital, and providing sale advisory and acquisition due diligence services on a nationwide basis.
Mr. Bergstrom holds a BS, Accounting, San Diego State University; was Awarded a two-year scholarship from University of California, Irvine for the Building Industry Association’s Light Construction and Development Management Program; University of California at Irvine/Building Industry Association- Instructor, Advanced Real Estate Finance – Summer 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000; University of California, Irvine Graduate School of Management-Real Estate Advisory Board, Director 1998 through present; Urban Land Institute (ULI) Full Member [Must be nominated by three Full Members with Letters of Recommendation; National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP); Bronze Sponsor-Orange County and Membership Committee Board,;Pension Real Estate Association (PREA); Member, The Counselors of Real Estate (CRE); Awarded CRE designation.
